Career Clusters and Programs of Study
Career Clusters was developed by National Career Technical Education Foundation (NCTEF) as part of the States’ Career Clusters Initiative (SCCI). Career Clusters are a tool for seamless transition from education to career in this era of changing workplace demands. SCCI helps states as they connect Career Technical Education (CTE) to education, workforce preparation, and economic development.
Each Cluster is broken down into pathways each with a Program of Study. The basics are found on our website under the “Career Clusters” tab. Check with your local high school, trade, technical school or college to see if they have a Program of Study for the career your student is interested in pursuing.
